The new 2010 Hennessey Venom GT

Details about the Venom GT supercar were disclosed by the Hennessey Performance. Just ten units of this car which is based on a Lotus Elise would be made and pre-sales order has already booked four of these units.

The engine is a supercharged 6.2 liter LS9 V8 engine. This is the same engine that has been used for the Corvette ZR1 which is rated for delivering 725 bhp. Further tuning is on and the model would have twin engines of 1000 bhp and  1200 bhp V8 variants. The top speed of the Venom GT would be 200 mph and thy curb weight of 2400 lbs.

Its body is fabricated from lightweight carbon fiber material. Even its wheels are made up of carbon fiber. The car has a traction control system that is programmable, CFD (computational fluid dynamic) as also an active aero system with rear wings and suspension system both of which  are adjustable
