2011 BMW 5-Series Exceeds Sales Expectation

by Ron Grant

The German car manufacturer seems to be doing something right as the orders for the new 2011 BMW 5-series are going beyond the company’s sales target. The 5-series rolled out last March and has been specifically designed to improve the German car manufacturer’s sales performance by 1.3 million cars in 2010.

The plan seems to be working. For car owners who don’t know yet, BMW has also beaten Mercedes-Benz and has been the largest luxury car manufacturer since 2005. The sales rate of BMW reportedly increased by 27% since 2000.

According to BMW CEO Reithofer, though, there are still a lot of risks that may hinder the company’s full recovery. For example, Greece’s current financial problems the EU’s efforts to stabilize the euro can influence the sales performance of the company.
