2012 Aston Martin Virage Coupe/Volante: Here are the official details with photos and specs

The 2011 Virage from Aston Martin was unveiled recently and its another one that is lined up for a grand world debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Aston Martin has their DB9 model which is elegancy personified and then the DBS model which is a sporty one. The Virage would be a model that fits snug between these two existing models from the British car maker. The Virage is fitted with a hand-built 6.0 liter V12 engine that delivers 490 bhp (365 kW/497 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb. Ft) of torque. For transmission the car has a six speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission that is mounted on the transaxle thereby contributing to a perfect 50:50 weight balance of the car. For other design features the car has single bi-xenon headlamps, a new single bi-xenon headlamps, a new front bumper, new front wings as well as a new rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and exhaust system.

A fully integrated Satellite Navigation system is installed in the car, which has been built in conjunction with Garmin. As s result, the driver is accurately and visually guided to the destination with the help of a new 6.5 inch high resolution display using the latest graphics and maps.

The car features heated seats and also boasts of a cruise control system built into it. Along with satellite navigation there is a Bluetooth telephone system while for entertainment, there is the powerful 700W Aston Martin Premium Audio System with Dolby Pro Logic II and full iPod integration. For brakes the car has Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes which are part of the performance features of the car. For the driver to get faster throttle response and gear change reaction, the car has a special button named ‘Sport’ which when selected gives these additional features. The car also has an Adaptive Damping System (ADS) which aids the driver in an intelligent manner by providing optimum road holding and enabling the car to adapt to different road conditions. This system is one of the latest development from the British car maker.
