2012 Honda Ridgeline Sport: First Official Photo And Details

by Alex

Just a few days after the CR-V, Honda also revealed the first official picture of the 2012 Ridgeline  pickup in Sport trim. This new model still maintains its unique design as a party piece, but looks cleaner and nicer somehow.

As expected, the updated Ridgeline features 18 inch alloy wheels, as well as a distinguished by a honeycomb grille, tinted headlights, standard fog lights, black mirrors, a black exterior trim and black door handles.

Updated, but not so much, because, according to American Honda Motor Company, the power will come from the same 3.5 liter V6 engine which is developing 250 horsepower at 5.700 rpm and 335 Nm of torque at 4.300 rpm, connected to a five-speed electronically-controlled automatic transmission. Still, the new Ridgeline Sport has an improved fuel efficiency compared to the current version.

We can see some updates when we talk about standard features because the 2012 Ridgeline Sport comes with ABS, VSA, brake assist, front passenger’s airbags, advanced multiple-threshold, two-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, tire pressure monitoring system and daytime running lights.

For now no pricing information being released, but it’s sure that the new Honda Ridgeline Sport will go on sale starting this November.
