2012 Range Rover Evoque – The final prices for USA and UK

by Sebastian Bivin

The final price for the 2012 Range Rover Evoque was recently announced, with the all-new luxury crossover scheduled to go on sale this fall.

The Evoque is equipped with a six-speed automatic and Haldex all-wheel drive as standard and is much smaller than its siblings and is meant to be a sportier, on-road crossover. It’s also very stylish and is fitted with LED lighting, premium leather upholstery, and a flashy set of alloy wheels.

Land Rover emphasised on the Evoque’s fuel consumption figures of 28 mpg highway and 19 mpg city, achieved due to the car’s lightweight construction which features high-strength steels, polymer and composite front fenders and tailgate, an aluminium bonnet, roof panels and lower control arms, and the magnesium cross car beam.

The reduced weight is the result of using aluminum chassis components and a plastic bodywork. It’s claimed that the Evoque could accelerate from zero to 60-mph in 7.1 seconds and it’s capable of reaching a top velocity of 135 mph.

The 2012 Range Rover Evoque starts selling in the U.S. in the fall and the price starts from $43,995 (including destination charges) for the five-door configuration and from $44,995 if you want the three-door model. The American-spec version is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder engine from Ford that has an output of 240 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque.

Prices in the UK will start from £27,955 ($39,984 USD) for an eD4 Pure 5-door 6 -speed manual 2WD model with the 4WD equivalent priced at £28,705 ($41,056 USD). The top-of-the-line Si4 6-speed automatic Dynamic coupe with LUX pack will be priced at £44,320 ($63,390 USD).

The 2012 Range Rover Evoque will be offered in both 5-door and coupe forms and will go on sale in Sept. 2011.
Both will be available with a choice of diesel or gasoline engines. Engine choices include a 2.2L turbodiesel with outputs of 148-hp or 187-hp. The 2.0L Si4 turbocharged, direct-injected gasoline unit makes 236-hp allowing the Evoque to run from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds.
