2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Showcased at Detroit

by SpeedLux

For the new year the normal old Ford F-150 truck has undergone some minor styling tweaks to the front side and tech upgrades, like power-telescoping and power-folding trailer-tow sideview mirrors.

For 2013, the Raptor gains new high-intensity discharge HID headlamps that are supposed to burn whiter and brighter than standard headlights would. It’s also available for the first time with beadlock compatible rims. All this comes in the form of a kit.

As it is clear from the accompanying picture that the SVT Raptor now has a revised SYNC with MyFord Touch infotainment system with a bigger 4.2-inch LCD screen for the cluster and another 8-inch screen for the center console.

Under the hat this mean machine is still fitted with the same 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 411 horses and 434 lb.-ft. of torque, matched to an electronic six-speed automatic transmission.

Only little bit has been known to us but still more of the features needs to be revealed which will be done very soon since the auto show has already begun.

Stay tuned and enjoy the picture gallery.
