2013 Honda Beat

Honda is developing a successor to the old Honda Beat. They presented the 2013 Honda Beat at the Tokyo Auto Saloon this year, and plan on putting it on the market late 2013. The new model is a two-seat, modern-designed convertible with a hard top.

According to Honda, the 2013 Beat will combine the Japanese car manufacturer’s experience in building road vehicles and motorcycles.

The new model will probably be built on the same platform as the CR-Z hybrid sports car. The design will be similar to the Honda OSM, unveiled in 2008 at the London Motor Show.

The original Beat was released by the Japanese in the 1990s. It was powered by a .66L petrol engine, and had a soft-folding roof. The new 2013 model will feature a hardtop and will get its power from a 1.3L or 1.5L engine. The fuel consumption will most likely be lower than other vehicles in the Beat’s class.

This car may also feature a dual-clutch, proving the fact that Honda combines car and motorcycle to produce the Beat.

The 2013 Honda Beat competes with vehicles like the Mazda MX-5 and Renault Wind. The cost price will be around $30,000.
