2013 Jaguar XJ V6

by SpeedLux

The 2013 Jaguar XJ V6 brandishes a supercharged V6 direct injection, dual independent variable valve timing high compression engine. Designed to generate 340 hp @ 6,500 rpm and 332 lb-ft of torque @ 1,750 rpm, the new Jaguar XJ 60 is a delightful driving experience.

Some critics have labeled this car as a downsized engine version of its predecessor having a 5.0 litre V 8 engine. It is partly true with shift from V8 – 5 litres to the V6 – 3.0 litres supercharged engine, considering raw numbers and without assessing the complete design upgrade of the new XJ V6 engine and its overall on-road performance.

Here below are the vital statistics of this new Jaguar firebrand :
Engine: 3.0 lts – Supercharged – V6
Power : 340 hp / 332 lb-ft
Transmission : 8-Speed Automatic
Acceleration : 0-60 mph
Time : 5.7 Seconds
Top Speed : 121 mph (limited)
Drivetrain : Rear-Wheel Drive
Curb Weight : 3,915 lbs

The suspensions on the Jaguar XJ are much improved over the previous models and provide a smoother ride of high quality on bumpy roads as well.

The V6 of the XJ is noiseless in its entire operational range inspite of its direct injection engine. Fitted with front and rear harmonic balancers for noise and vibration control, the engine unit does not emit noise as it ticks over at idling speed. The automatic transmission is assisted by a well programmed Drive Selector that in turn maximizes fuel economy.

The interior of the XJ has an aura of its own. A low slung but classy looking dash panel displaying TFT gauge cluster is luxuriously finished to match the inner covering of the cabin. The inner body panels carry a top finish of wood veneers which enhances the sheen and luster of the leather upholstery that carefully and completely covers the very comfortable and ergonomically designed seats in the cabin. The stereo system on this Jag XJ is out – of-the –box standard fitment. The navigation system and blind spot monitoring system are provided as standard and so is the panoramic roof all being a one-up offering to beat the competition hollow on level playing ground.

The Jaguar outer body shell design and finish, irrespective of its make and model, have been attractive always, and the XJ 6 is also in the same mould of eye catching curves and matching trims.

Classified as a luxury sedan, the Jaguar XJ V6 is a car which will endear more motoring enthusiasts if they take a test drive of this super brand. The Jaguar fan club will of course find this XJ V6 a pleasurable experience that will add value to their love for JAG machines and cars.

The Jaguar XJ 6 is undoubtedly a luxury sedan in the sports car category that will be rated highly for engineering excellence combined with superb quality parameters for a valuable product with high degree of sophistication in engineering, technology and customer comfort assessment in comparison with the competitor’s products.
