Lexus has announced the pricing of the 2014 IS for the US markets. The car has been priced with a starting tag of $35,950 and it will go on sale this summer.
The base variant IS 250 is powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine that can generate 204 hp (152 kW) and 185 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque. The IS 350 variant comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine which churns out 306 hp (228 kW). Regardless of the model selected, both come equipped with HID headlamps, LED daytime running lights, a 4.2-inch multi-information display and dual zone climate control.
The customers have an option to order the Premium package which comes with features such as LED headlamps and heated / ventilated front seats. The Luxury package includes all the above mentioned features and additional features such as perforated leather upholstery, wood trim, electrochromic mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a power tilt / telescopic steering wheel and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The IS can also be fitted with an F Sport package that has a revised front bumper, a unique grille, a sport-tuned suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels. The F Sport variants also come with sport seats and a center-mounted tachometer that is inspired by the LFA.
Other options include a rearview camera, a navigation system, an all-wheel drive system and Intuitive Park Assist.
