by SpeedLux

The seventh generation Volkswagen Golf has been unveiled at Berlin.
It is now suppose to be launched at the Paris Motor Show, and at their much details be available once it has been launched, well for the time being lets go through details as of now, at the launch that happened at Berlin.

At launch, there will be four engines available, two diesels (1.6 and 2.0 litres) and two petrol (1.2 TSI and 1.4 TSI). All of these will be equipped with Stop/Start engine systems and the 1.4 TSI petrol engine will be equipped with cylinder de-activation technology, becoming a two-cylinder when under light load, to save fuel.

The look of the car is more Evolutionary rather than being Revolutionary, thats what every one says.
On viewing the interior, we see that, the rear leg room has been increased by 15mm and the front seats have been moved back by 20mm, so that way it will definately be a boon for taller drivers. There is more space in the boot as well, which goes up from 350 litres to 380 litres. The Golf will now feature an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function.

The fact that will shake evry one is that the New Eco Friendly Bluemotion model claims 88 mpg and just 85 g/km of CO2, Because
the efficiency has been incresed like anything, Volkswagen claims that the car will be up to 23 per cent more efficient than its predecessor. It will be lighter, stronger, more slippery through the air and more spacious than the outgoing Mk. VI, utilising more efficient engines to ensure excellent fuel economy and emissions figures.

Talking about safety in the new 2014 VW Golf Mk. VII, we come to know that, the 2014 Volkswagen Mk. VII will feature a raft of new technologies which will eventually help the car to be even safer (the Mk. VI already has the maximum 5-star Euro-NCAP safety rating).

A standard will be the PreCrash system which debuted in the Touareg, this detects the possibility of an incident and pre-tensions the seatbelts and closes the sunroof and windows automatically to ensure that the airbags work to their maximum capacity.
The other is such as a Multi-Collision brake system, which automatically brakes the car after a collision, to reduce the kinetic energy inherent in the accident which reduces the chances of a second impact.

Other options will include adaptive cruise control, Front Assist, which can bring the car automatically to a complete stop from speeds of up to 93 mph and City Emergency Braking, which is operational at speeds of up to 19 mph which can help to reduce the chances of an accident during urban driving.

As of now details of Pricing aren’t available,
Well with all this it seems that this indeed will be head turner, as because Volkswagen has come up such car that’s just Wonderful, be it’s look or efficiency this indeed is going to win many hearts and definitely bagging many awards in its segment!
