2015 Jaguar XS spied once again with XF body

by SpeedLux

The Jaguar XS has been spied yet again but this time wearing the body of the XF.

Scheduled for the launch in 2015, XS would be Jaguar’s entry level model and has been designed to compete with the models such as Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series and the Audi A4. In the images, the prototypes were spotted testing in the Alps and at the tracks of the Nürburgring. It can be clearly seen these models are smaller in size and dimensions as compared to the XF because of the shorter doors and a different roof line.

The Jaguar XS is internally also known as the X760. The model would most probably ride on Jaguar’s Premium Lightweight Architecture (PLA) and will most likely be available with a range of turbocharged four cylinder and supercharged six cylinder engines that would provide different outputs, details of which are yet to be provided.

The same platform will also be used for a new crossover with all wheel drive called as the XQ or Q-Type which will be rolled out once the baby Jaguar sedan is launched.
