The Mercedes-Benz SLC AMG has been spied undergoing testing before a probable launch in 2015.
Considered to be a replacement of the SLS AMG, the SLC AMG (internally known as C190) will be smaller and is said to complete with the Porsche 911. It will come with features such as conventional doors, a dual exhaust arrangement and a trunk-mounted spoiler.
Power could be provided by a V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine generating around 485 HP (357 kW) for the entry level model, while a more powerful S variant should have 550 HP (404 kW) and the range-topping Black Series variant will allegedly come with output of around 585 HP (430 kW).
No official confirmation on pricing yet, but if the rumors are to be believed, it would come with a starting price of approximately 109,000 EUR (141,000 USD / 92,800 GBP). The “SLC” nameplate hasn’t been confirmed yet.
