Mercedes has revealed some new insights about the S500 Plug-in Hybrid in front of its release in September.

While Mercedes initially expected the model would devour 3.0l/ 100 km (78.4 mpg US/ 94.1 mpg UK) that figure has been enhanced to 2.8l/ 100 km (84 mpg US/ 100.8 mpg UK). Mercedes says this will empower the auto to turn into the “first extravagance vehicle with a confirmed utilization beneath three liters for every 100 km.”

Other than being more fuel effective, the electric-just run has expanded from 30 km (18.6 miles) to 33 km (20.5 miles). Significantly all the more imperatively, the 0-100 km/h quickening times have go down from 5.5 to 5.2 seconds.

As we have long ago reported, the S 500 Plug-in Hybrid will offer a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 motor and a 107 bhp (80 kw) electric engine. This will empower the model to have a consolidated most extreme yield of 435 bhp (325 kw) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque.
