GM is keen in making alternate for the petrol and diesel range of cars since they are likely to be out of trend in the near future. Hence they have announced several plans to roll out their traditional design techniques and involve in some other innovative technologies like that of hybrid engines. But the team of GM has gone a great leap in this process and now they are concentrating only on electric motor only versions. In honor of inventor of concepts of AC electricity, it is rightly named as Chevrolet Volt, where volt signifies Alessandro Volta in its unit and also in the name of car.

It is expected to make its debut in the North American international car show that is conducted every year. This year, Chevrolet Volt is expected to grab attention of all people since it will be a car based only on electrical motor, where no fuel in the form of liquid or gas is to be used. To race up with the existing engine based cars, it is set to race up to speeds of 50 to 60 miles, which is a better figure for electric motor cars. Cost is expected to be fixed depending on response to this car.
