Air ambulance called after crash between car and tractor

A road near Wareham was closed for more than two hours following an accident in between a car and a tractor.

An air ambulance was sent to Binnegar Lane, in addition to 2 fire crews, at around 1:15 pm, as per the fire service.

Cops were called to the scene at 1:14 pm after the accident between a silver Honda Jazz– registered to a woman from Ferndown – and a red tractor.

Policeman closed the road, that is near Bovington and Wareham while they handled the incident.

The Honda was discovered on its side with a female driver trapped within.

Firefighters were contacted to cut her from the vehicle prior to paramedics stepped in to treat her.

She was referred to hospital with serious however not life-threatening injuries. The tractor driver was not injured.

The road was resumed at 3:47 pm.
