More information about Apple‘s software group for its secret automobile project are emerging. as per a new report from Bloomberg, Apple has actually hired several engineers in the Ottawa suburban area of Kanata. The company also started a workplace there and could be establishing its vehicle operating system from there.

The reason that Kanata is so hot today is due to the fact that BlackBerry’s QNX workplace likewise happens to be there. QNX is an operating system for automobiles and runs many infotainment systems in significant vehicle companies, including Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, GM, Ford and many others.

Back in July, another report already suggested that QNX CEO Dan Dodge left the business to join Apple. Ever since, around two dozen employees apparently joined him, along with non-QNX staff members.

Apple could be employing but likewise shooting, Apple could be opening a new workplace but also decreasing the scope of the project … If the vehicle project is real, there’s something for sure: Apple does not really know exactly what it wishes to do.
