April sales set new records for Honda and Acura

Year to date American Honda sales passed the figure of 506,532, which is increase of 9.2 percent

American Honda Motor Co. Inc. reported a brand-new April sales record of 148,829 Honda and Acura vehicles, a boost of 14.4 percent for the month.

The Honda Division set a brand-new regular monthly record with 132,623 of vehicles sold in April, a boost of 15.1 percent compared with April 2015 with year to this day sales up 10.5 percent. Acura Division sales calculated 16,206, a boost of 9 percent in April with year to date sales reaching 54,081.

The Civic remains to control the compact vehicle section with sixth consecutive month-over-month sales increases, up 24.5 percent to a new April record of 35,331 while the Accord kept strong demand with sales being 31,526.

Record sales of Honda light trucks struck 60,372 units with Odyssey minivans 13,047 devices and the Pilot notching 11,370, regardless of tight inventories.
