Recently, Aston Martin introduced its new RapidE concept. The fully electrical idea automobile is based upon the British cars maker’s manufacturing Rapide S sedan. Although Aston’s existing lineup includes mainly of V8 as well as V12 engined sports cars, the firm has lately made electrification a major priority in its future plans.

“We see high-end electrical automobiles as an intrinsic part of our future product portfolio as well as welcome ChinaEquity into the following stage of research for the project development,” Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer Dr. Andy Palmer stated in a statement.

“The exciting RapidE concept tangibly shows the ability and ambition of Aston Martin in the direction of developing reduced- as well as zero-emission sports cars.”

Aston’s Sino-British partnership announcement comes during this week’s state visit to Britain by Chinese president Xi Jinping.
