BMW 7-Series UAE Edition to be Unveiled at the Dubai Motor Show 2011

by Zack Colt

It is rather cute the way BMW choses to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the unification of the United Arab Emirates, and that is by introducing a special edition of the 7-Series.

This car, dubbed the BMW 7 Series 40 Years UAE Edition has as a foundation the 750Li and is besides good looking, very luxurious. It comes dressed in Marakesh Brown, while its interior treats customers with Merino Platinum leather.

Its cabin has UAE emblems for the headrests and iDrive controller, while the dark chrome trimming uses the 40 years UAE limited edition branding.

As far as the engine is concerned, the car is powered by the standard 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 unit that delivers 407 hp and a peak torque of 600 Nm, which sends the car past the 62 mph mark in 5.2 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Due to the fact that this car has been made for a special ocasion, it will be a special edition, with only 40 units to be built. It shall be unveiled at the upcoming Dubai Motor Show 2011, and we look forward for it.
