BMW M3 gets gullwing-door kit from LSD

by Alex

With its paraphernalia of intake, exhaust, plugs and wires all present on the ex showroom model, the BMW M3 comes ready right from the word go. There is however the missing flash that most drivers love to have along with their fast.

For the zap to go with the zip, German tuning company LSD has the gullwing doors as the zap. This door plates are available for the E90, E92 and E93 versions of the BMW M3. Both the set of doors have LSD hinges also as well as cable set and other associated attachments. All this for a price of $2,418. In case of people interested in setting only one door at the driver’s side, the same can be done at a price of $1,104.

For safety there is a guided roller system which is an integrated part of the kit. There is also a catch that locks the door in the upright position and the door has a three dimensional adjustment system too.

Safety standards specified by the German Technical Control Board are adhered to in all manners by the LSD doors. Side crash accidents have also been simulated on these doors and they have come out with successful results.

No welding or painting has been applied for attaching the doors at the stock locations. The doors open outwards and then upward with the adjustable plates stopping the door from crossing its extreme point as well as from falling down accidentally.
