After we saw seven teaser pictures of this concept, Infiniti has finally taken the wraps off its JX Concept, a preview of an innovative new 7-passenger/3-row luxury crossover, which joins the Infiniti lineup in spring 2012. The JX Concept was unveiled by Senior Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Shiro Nakamura.
“The JX Concept advances the Infiniti design language, sharing design cues of the Infiniti Essence concept, yet interprets those elements in ways suitable to the needs of a family luxury crossover,” said Chief Creative Officer Shiro Nakamura. “From the dramatic front grille and headlight design to the crescent-cut D-pillar and greenhouse shape, the JX Concept shines as a fresh, bold alternative to the many flavors of vanilla currently dominating the three-row luxury crossover segment.”
While its breathtaking exterior keep you focused, the new Infiniti JX Concept is designed to excel in three areas where luxury crossover buyers put an emphasis – interior flexibility and roominess, safety, and innovative hospitality features.
Beside this, keeping with Infiniti’s “Inspired Performance,” the 2013 Infiniti JX will offer a balance of driving exhilaration and fuel efficiency through a combination of a powerful V6 engine and all-wheel or front-wheel drive. The JX will also be the first Infiniti to utilize a sport-tuned, but fuel-efficient continuously variable transmission.
So far there is no word about pricing. JX Concept is scheduled to go on sale next spring as the 2013 Infiniti JX.
Compete details of the 2013 Infiniti JX will be released at the debut of the production version model at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2011.
