Bristol to introduce hybrid concept this year

by SpeedLux

Bristol is coming up with all-new hybrid supercar soon, probably by July this year.

Since 2011 Bristol Motors has become the subsidiary of Frazer-Nash. After the acquisition the company had planned to launch hybrid and electric cars. After about a year the dream is turning true.

The supercar getting unveiled uses a range-extended powertrain that will send the permanent electric drive to all four wheels. The other version is in a gasoline engine and will power a generator to feed the lithium-ion batteries.

The 2009 Hybrid Concept released by Bristol has a hybrid engine, which combines an 814cc endothermic rotary engine with four electric motors that produces a total of 370 hp (276 kW), enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 187 mph (300 km/h).

Hybrid concept combines technology with advanced concepts. It is fast and furious compared to rivals. It has got the oomph factor too.
