It seems that new year is not something that only the average people out there are enthusiastic about. As it turns out, even companies, including automakers, around the world are often very enthusiastic about it. This is exactly the case with the luxury American automaker, Cadillac. The company is welcoming the year 2015 with a special edition vehicle it calls the ATS New Year Special.
However, unlike the special edition vehicles normally offered by most automakers around the world, this special edition vehicle from the luxury American automaker is not so special, after all, it seems. Believe it or not, the only different elements that this special edition vehicle has when compared to its regular variants are the side window vents and the rear spoiler. Yes, that’s right, the car does not even come with any redesigned headlamps, taillights or some other addition to its luxury amenities inside its cabin. Yet, it does come with some modifications aimed to up its performance, at least by some degrees.
Speaking of its performance, it is reported that the vehicle in question will have a 2.0L engine with turbocharger and four cylinders available. This engine will give the car a peak power output of 276 PS and a peak torque of 353 Nm. In addition to this engine, the vehicle will also be equipped with a set of sport suspensions as well as a set of high performance Brembo brakes.
Cadillac has revealed that it will build no more than 15 examples of this special edition model. So, for those who are keen on buying the Cadillac ATS New Year Special model, they will have to rush to the nearest Cadillac dealership in their local area. The price that Cadillac is asking for this special yet not so special vehicle is rated at 3.99 million Japanese Yens and that is just the starting price.
