The third-generation Cadillac CTS is an impressive vehicle and finally a decent alternative to the likes from Europe. Launched in 2013, the CTS has won the 2014 Motor Trend Car of the Year title and to say fresh will get number of updates for the 2015 model year.

No pictures were released of the 2015 CTS, but the updated model will get company’s wreathless crest and revised grille. The new crest debuted on the 2015 ATS Coupe and people either like it or hate it.

Other highlights include active grille shutters and a Galvano chrome grille on standard models. VSport variants will come without the grille shutters and adopt a black chrome grille. Crystal White Tricoat and Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic are two new colors available.

For the interior changes include new color and trim options, OnStar 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, while the CUE infotainment system gains a Text Message Alerts function which has the functionality to read text messages aloud and send a predetermined reply.

For your kids who are getting into driving, there is a new Teen Driver function, enabling owners to set a radio volume limit and a maximum speed limit.

The engine range is already quite new from 2013 so there are no changes.

The entry-level model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 272 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, followed by a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 with 321 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. Range topping 3.6-liter V6 turbo delivers 420 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. A more potent CTS-V is also expected for 2015.
