Cadillac planning a new flagship sedan to rival the Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Change of plans as the folks at Cadillac have made their final decision that the all new XTS Platinum Concept will not hold its tag of their flagship vehicle which was recently revealed this year at the Detroit Auto Show. And to cater their need for a flagship model, the company is planning for a much more luxurious car for this tag, and as expected the car would have a big rear wheel drive that is expected to be authorized by none other than General Motors Co. CEO Ed Whitacre himself.

And if going by the sources, the given project is yet to be accorded with any timeline or dates. This upcoming sedan is all set to emerge as a worthy competitor to its rivals which includes the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7-Series. If the production of this sedan is undertaken then this sedan will be made by using the parts of the sigma platform. Also one of the source added that this sedan flagship will be introduced at the model year of 2014…
