Cadillac SLS to receive 2.0-liter DI turbo four-cylinder on Chinese market

by Alex

Reports from China indicates that Cadillac is considering an option to add the 2.0 liter turbocharged direct injected Ecotect inline four cylinder in its SLS Sedan group of cars.

The SLS was a car that was exclusively made for the Chinese market. It is a version of the STS with an extended wheel base. To be powered by a 220 hp, 258 pound foot version of the 2.0 turbo that is usually fitted on the Buick Regal or Opel Insignia. We get more torque with the 2.0 liter as compared to the 3.0 liter direct injected V6 which is installed in the SLS. The big sedan would be fitted with the 2.0 liter rather than the 3.6 liter solely due to the factor of higher HP being generated by the 2.0 liter engine.

Very exciting vehicle. The performance of this 4 cylinder engine is just amazing! And, the quietness for a turbo engine is just umbelievable, since it was used a new wdb noise attenuation porous duct. Exciting!!
