Cadillac XTS coming next year

by Alex

Here is some good news from Cadillac fans, General Motors has finally decided to bring the Cadillac XTS luxury sedan to the market. The Cadillac XTS was first seen at the Detroit motor show held in January this year as a concept vehicle but will soon enter series production. And as per news available, the car will be there for the taking from next year itself and not 2012 as was earlier envisaged.

However, GM has made it known that the production version of the car will be a far cry from the concept car presented in January. The car will target senior managers and directors and will be unlike any other business car currently available. There is no information available of the powertrain of the new Cadillac though what’s known is that the concept car previewed earlier came with hybrid power which included a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine combined to an electric motor along with lithium-ion batteries on board. The combined power output is rated at 350 h.p. with a maximum torque output of 400Nm.

The concept car did look solid and extremely well built. So perhaps, the Cadillac XTS may well be counted among the best selling cars of 2011.
