Car having Christmas gifts stolen in Melbourne

A car having lots of Christmas presents was stolen from a home located in Melbourne’s north-east on Christmas Day.

The black Jeep Grand Cherokee had been parked in the driveway of a Doreen property on Sunday when it was stolen by an unidentified culprit around 3.30 pm.

The owner of the automobile, Ashley Garraway, had been participating in a Christmas function on Laurimar Hill drive where the vehicle, with registration plates HKM314, had been parked.

The Jeep had Christmas gifts given to the victim’s kids previously that day.

“If we get the car back that would be great and if somebody is caught for it, then we would be more happy,” Mr Garraway informed 9NEWS.

The automobile was later on spotted at a South Morang filling station at about 4pm where the wrongdoer supposedly stole petrol.

Cops are now planning to talk with the person who they think would help with their inquiries.

Anybody with details is advised to get in touch with Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
