Tomorrow at the Tokyo Motor Show, Lotus will introduce another special edition of the Exige dubbed Scura. The Exige Scura(Italian for ‘dark’) comes with a matt black finish and ‘Phantom Black’ triple stripes that run the length of the car. Production is limited to just 35 cars globally.
Lotus has announced details about the 2010 model year Exige S240. Main changes compared to the 2009 YM model are a new front fascia with bigger air intakes and a new aerodynamic splitter. On the rear is a new wing that was first shown on the Exige GT3 road car concept at the Geneva Motor
At the Frankfurt Motor Show in few weeks Lotus will unveil a special edition Elise Club Racer, based on the 134 hp Lotus Elise S. It will be available in four retro colors used by Lotus in the 1960s(Elite Yellow, Carbon Grey, Sky Blue and Old English White).
New Lotus Exige Cup 260 takes design cues and technical innovations from the Exige GT3 racecar. This street legal track focused sports car is lighter, stiffer and faster than the new Exige S. 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) comes in just 4.1 seconds. Power comes from the same 257 hp supercharged 1.8-liter Toyota engine.
In U.S. and Canada current Elise and Exige owners can now supercharge their naturally aspirated(1.8-liter Toyota engine) models for more power and torque. New supercharger kit is engineered at Lotus factory, warranted and 50-state legal.
