Chevrolet Sonic was launched in Malaysia

The new generation Chevrolet Sonic was launched in Malaysia recently, both in hatchback and sedan versions.

The new Sonic is available is available in five colors, the Black Sapphire, the Oceanic Blue, the Summit White, the Switchblade Silver and the Royal Grey. Some of the standard features it comes with are , ABS, EBD, brake assist, two front airbags and ISOFIX as standard safety features.

The Chevrolet Sonic, sedan and hatchback are available in Malaysia in a single trim level, the LTZ, which apparently in Thailand is the highest specification model, with the model featuring a 1.4 liter Ecotec VVT four-cylinder engine, gushing out a total output of 99 HP at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 130 Nm available at 4,000 rpm, and the whole unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the unit is also capable to do a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 12.9 seconds and the model has a top speed of 175 km/h.

The prices start at RM76,888 for the LTZ sedan and at RM78,888 for the LTZ hatchback.
