Here Comes Another Teaser of the McLaren Sport Series

by SpeedLux

The luxury automaker from the British soil, McLaren, has taken the liberty of releasing an official teaser image yet again. Just like in the case of the previous teaser image, this one also depicts the upcoming Sport Series vehicle lineups from the company. The McLaren Sport Series will reportedly make its world premiere next month when the 2015 New York Auto Show event takes shape.

Judging by the latest teaser image from the British company, it seems that the upcoming vehicle lineups from the luxury British automaker will launch alongside the S variant – which is a high performance variant – and the C variant – which is an entry level model. Unfortunately, so far, McLaren is really trying to keep everything a tight secret, especially when it comes to the technical specifications of the model. It is believed, however, that the car is going to feature a 3.8L V8 engine with twin turbochargers under the hood and also a lightweight body made of the carbon fiber monocoque material.

Yet, in spite of the engine being kept a secret by the British company, McLaren has actually made an official confirmation, hinting that the engine of the vehicle will deliver a total power output beyond 500 bhp. Additionally, the car is also going to benefit from a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.

Mike Flewitt, CEO McLaren, has also pointed out to the world that the upcoming McLaren Sport Series vehicle lineups will have a competitive price when compared to the likes of the Porsche 911 Turbo or even the Porsche 911 Turbo S but this will largely depend on the target market.
