by SpeedLux

Ferrari CaliforniaEarlier today Lamborghini announced their plan to cut CO2 emissions. This plan included hybrid drive solutions and biofuels.

Lambo’s main rival Ferrari has now confirmed that they are also working on a hybrid concept.
Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa said that in addition to current powertrain solutions they are looking at turbocharging, biofuels and hybrids to cut CO2 emissions.

Felisa did not say anything specific, but made it clear that a hybrid concept will make its debut in the near future. As Ferrari will introduce F450(replacement for the F430) at the Frankfurt Auto Show it is likely that the hybrid concept will make its debut later at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

This hybrid concept will very likely feature Ferrari’s F1 KERS regenerative braking system.
