It was only a few days earlier when the automotive marquee from Germany, Volkswagen, teased its upcoming GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo vehicle model. Yes, this is the vehicle that will be available exclusively for gamers who play the Gran Turismo 6 racing title, a Sony PlayStation 4 exclusive title from Polyphony Digital. Now, not long after teasing the model, the German company has actually taken the veil off the vehicle officially.

As the German company puts it, this new vehicle will expand the fleet of the company’s GTI model and that this supercar will be heading to the digital races within the aforementioned PS4 exclusive game title. The new vehicle from Volkswagen takes advantage of the company’s Golf GTI model as its base. It turns out that the VW GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo will take the place of the previously announced VW GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo.

This three-door hatchback looks hot and aggressive with its body kit, which is blessed with a massive amount of carbon fiber. This material in particular has helped the car gain an ideal power-to-weight ratio, 2.5 kg per horsepower. Volkswagen also claims that the body surfaces and the proportions of the vehicle have gone through the optimization process to ensure extremely low gravity center. It is also quite easy to see the car being equipped with a rear diffuser, a prominently designed roof spoiler, a huge front splitter on the front bumper and a lower, massive radiator front grille.

Under the hood of this car, lies a VR6 TSI engine. This engine has what it takes to spit out 503 PS and 665 Nm of power and torque, respectively. This engine is mated to the company’s all-wheel-drive (AWD) 4MOTION drivetrain and a 7-speed automatic dual clutch transmission. This should be enough to take the car going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds while its top speed lies at 300 km/h.
