Ford denies rumors about new Ford Focus coupe

by Adrian Hayden

There will be no new Focus Coupe! Ford denies all rumors and at the Ford Focus Facebook fan page, Mark Schirmer of Ford Communications stated that he is aware of a report linked to Auto Express talking about a Focus coupe, but he also said that there are no plans for a coupe. He also asked them “Is there volume in the coupe market anymore, or is five-door hatchback the way to go?” Actually, Motor Trend was the first to report this issue in May. The illustrations back then and now both show a very fast roofline that could function as either a three-door hatch or a truncated coupe with a small trunk. Ford also denied that the car will make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show as a concept.
