Great Wall to enter U.S. market in 2015

by SpeedLux

China based auto maker Great Wall has recently announced plans of selling cars in the United States by 2015.

The company’s President Wang Fengying said that they are planning to start selling SUVs in the US markets in around 2015. She also said that Great Wall will be the first Chinese car manufacturer to enter the United States market in volume. Infact the company is also looking at options of manufacturing cars in America itself.

The company has a reputation of being one of the most successful Chinese automakers and they are also known to be financially stable. They have been analyzing this idea for quite a few years now but could not implement due to high costs of entering the market and quality concerns and so they decided to wait for the right time to come.

The company had sold 677,000 units in the previous year and they have plans to sell 800,000 units in the year 2013. Also the company has plans to boost the annual exports to 130,000 units in the current year.
