Hyundai Elantra Coupe to Debut at 2012 Chicago Auto Show: Official Info and Specs

by Zack Colt

Hyundai‘s plan plan on unveiling a coupe version of their latest Elantra next February at the Chicago auto show has been finally confirmed, so instead of feeding with what little piece of information we could gather from every source, we can lay back and relax, and just wait for the event to happen.

Anyways, the news comes after Hyundai Motor America’s CEO, John Krafcik, held a small press conference in Ann Arbor, MI showing a number of reporters their competitors to the proverbial Honda Civic. Unfortunately, photoreporters wweren’t allowed, so there’s not much to see. But we know that the Elantra is the next addition to the Elantra lineup, which currently consists of the usual sedan and later, a small wagon version.

“This car has been great for us,” Krafcik said. “It has really surpassed our expectations.”

What Krafcik also said at the press event is the fact that we can surely wait for other similar designs to the layout of the sedan in the near future. Unfortunately, details on the Elantra coupehave are yet to be released, but as soon as we hear anything, we promise to keep you posted!
