Jaguar F-Type Targa under consideration – report

by SpeedLux

Jaguar has recently revealed that the company is considering an F-Type Targa.

Speaking to Auto Express, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum said that they were considering this model, but it was not definite as of now. He went on to say that the issue with the Targa is volume. He clarified by stating that if one thinks of Porsche, 10 percent of its cars are Targa, while 10 percent of Jaguar is less than theirs.

Not much detail is available as of now about the proposed model but it would reportedly feature a retractable hard top similar to the one on the Porsche 911 Targa.

While the F-Type Targa remains up in the air, Callum confirmed that the company is working on three or four cars at the moment. He declined to elaborate but some of the spy photographers have recently snapped pictures of their entry-level sedan, mid-size crossover, XJ facelift and next-generation XF.

We can expect more details about the model in coming months and we will update you accordingly.
