Is the Lamborghini Aventador Spyder real?

by Site Default

The title of this article doesn’t tell the full story, which goes like this: Lamborghini just announced a new concept for the Geneva Motor Show a few days ago. While they only revealed a teaser video that doesn’t show any part of the actual car, there have been some leaked photos of a windshield-less Lamborghini Roadster on the internet. One would assume they were picturing a Spyder version of Lamborghini’s latest and most popular supercar, the Aventador.

If this is really an Aventador Spyder, it will probably still get the same engine, the V-12 that produces 700 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque that allows an acceleration to 60 in a mind-blowing time of only 2.9 seconds. Since this is a soft-top vehicle, there will be a few pounds added to the car’s mass, which means a lesser acceleration, but one that still stays in the “extraterrestrial” area. Also, if this Concept is a future Aventador, probably all of the technologies that made the passenger and driver feel comfortable will be removed to reduce the mass.

The name Unica appears at the end of this concept’s teaser video. This name may be the concept’s actual label, or it might be meant to represent the car’s uniqueness.

The official unveiling of this concept will take place on the 6th of March, just before the start of the Geneva event. That’s when we’ll get more pictures and pieces of information on this car.
