Lamborghini Recalling 5,900 Aventadors Due to Risk of Fire

Lamborghini Aventador

Lamborghini is recalling 5,900 Aventadors globally along with three Veneno hardtops and nine Veneno Roadsters. They are being recalled because of fuel system failures that might cause fires. Apparently gas vapors from the exhaust system could end up being dense enough to combust when getting in contact with the hot gasses from the back of the automobile.

Lamborghini goes on to state that the threat is increased when practices like revving in park are done and basic misbehavior happens. All owners of automobiles impacted will be notified by certified mail and must expect to consult with their local car dealership in the future. Repair work will consist of an upgrade to the evaporation system.

The Lamborghini Aventador begins at around $400,000 and is powered by 6.6-liter V-12 cranking out a remarkable 740 horsepower and puts down a 0-62 miles per hour time of only 2.9 seconds.
