Lexus Officially Unveils the 2016 GS F

by SpeedLux

As huge exhibition events like the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) or the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) are nearing, a lot of automakers out there have been preparing a lot of exciting surprises for their loyal fans. Lexus – which is a luxury division under Toyota, a Japanese automaker – is no exception to this, either. The company is reportedly prepping the next generation GS F vehicle model. It is said that the company will officially launch the aforementioned vehicle model when the 2015 NAIAS event actually takes place. Nonetheless, the Japanese company has actually taken the veil off its upcoming GS F vehicle model.

It is no longer a secret that Lexus designates the GS F to rival the M5 from the German automaker, BMW. In order to do that, the car has to look no less than attractive, not even at the slightest bit. So, the upcoming GS F from Lexus will sport a very prominent front grille. This front grille comes accompanied by air intakes of large size. LED headlamps are also going to come standard on this vehicle.

Going further to the rear fascia of the car, people can see such things as quad exhaust pipes and ventilated front fenders in addition to redesigned side skirts. In addition to those, the car also sports a spoiler mounted on its trunk besides tinted taillights. This whole brand new GS F will also come with a set of 19-inch bespoke alloy wheels.

Stepping into the cabin, those who buy the new Lexus GS F will be able to enjoy carbon fiber trim as well as sport seats with two tones. Metallic accents and contrasting stitches are included here as well.

This new luxury sedan from the Japanese automaker will also boast a 5.0L V8 engine that is naturally aspirated instead of turbocharged. The engine is capable of 467 hp and 527 Nm of power and torque, respectively. It is said that an 8-speed automatic gearbox will come standard on the vehicle yet the gearbox also has manual shifting capability.

The Japanese automaker also claims that its upcoming sedan will feature what it calls the Torque Vectoring Differential, or the TVD, technology. This technology will offer three modes, which are, track, slalom and standard. A set of sports suspension and a chassis stiffer than that of the predecessor will also be available on the 2016 Lexus GS F.
