Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Nevada Representative Joe Heck concerned the aid of victims of a deadly car crash in West Virginia on Thursday night.

The two lawmakers saw the accident as they were leaving an event in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and going back to their hotel. A spokesman for Heck states they pulled over and offered assistance till first responders showed up.

One person died in the accident.

Rubio states in a statement that he and his wife “send our prayers and condolences to the family of the individual who tragically lost their life”.

Heck, who has been an emergency room physician, likewise offered “prayers and condolences to those grieving” and wanting “a speedy recovery to the injured”.

Rubio and Heck are in competitive Senate races.
