Marussia Concept Limousines for Vladimir Putin

by SpeedLux

Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has asked the car makers of Russia to bring the best limousine for him. And when we talk of this, one cannot forget ZIL who had once made ZIL-41047 which was used by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of former USSR. The model had a powerful 7.7 liter V8 engine. However, the production of these models stopped a decade ago as they got outdated and the customer started moving towards modern and better vehicles.

However, Putin did not have much liking towards these ZIL-41047 vehicles and so he has asked for a different design now. In addition to ZIL, Marussia and GAZ have also decided to take up this job. GAZ is working on making of luxury model in line with Volkswagen Phaeton and Audi A8 and is expected to be launched in 2014. Marussia is working on Limousine concepts as per the job received from CarDesign.

Generally, the official cars used by the officials is fully armoured Mercedes S-Class stretched to limo size.
