Mercedes Benz SLK Commercial [Video]

by Zack Colt

It’s really entertaining the way Mercedes mixed the Halloween with the Venice carnival in the commercial they released for the SLK two-seater sportscar.

They merged the classic high society party with the old fashioned flirt between, in this case, a very good looking chinese girl (played by Fan BingBing -heh-) and a cool guy.

After an excange of flirty looks between the two, the girl runs away in a Cinderella style, only that instead of an calash, she drives away in her own SLK convertible.
She is being followd by the guy in his same car, chasing each other through the city.

Some F1-style paddle shifts and a great exhaust sound help him catch up until she gives him the slip, and manages to escape. But she is found, surprisingly, in front of her own place. And this is where the commercial comes to an end, leaving the whole story in a very suggestive point.

Well, I don’t think that neither us, nor Mercedes can promise you that the same thing will happen to you if you purchase the SLK two-seater convertible sportscar, but at least you could have the fun the protagnists of the commercial seemed to be having.

And if you really want to make the whole experience seem more veridic, you could listen to the soundtrack of the commercial (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- Spread Your Love) which is very good.
