Mitsubishi ASX Black Edition Introduced: Official Info and Specs

The introducing of the ASX Black, which is the latest special edition model with a bespoke interior and enhanced exterior styling, will expand Mitsubishi Motors‘s ASX Range.

The new model features, in terms of style, a dynamic appeal with the satin black styling kit which includes striking black 17-inch alloy wheels, roof, spoiler, fog lamp bezels, grille and mirrors. The interiour of the vehicle has a special edition black leather kit showcasing carbon fiber inserts. The new Mitsubishi ASX Black is based on the present Mitsubishi ASX4, will be launched on November 11, 2011 and offered in the company’s UK dealerships.

The colors in which the vehicle will be available are Kingfisher Blue (Metallic), Polar White (Solid), Amethyst Black (Pearlescent), Cool Silver (Metallic), Orient Red (Metallic) and Atlantic Grey (Metallic).
In addition, Mitsubishi offers the possibility for the ones interested of chosing between two Euro V engines — the Mitsubishi 1.8 DiD turbodiesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission (147bhp @ 4,000 rpm, 221lb.ft @ 2,000-3,000 rpm) and the Mitsubishi’s 1.6 petrol with 5-speed manual transmission (115bhp @ 6,000 rpm, 114lb.ft @ 4,000 rpm). The company also provides an AWC electronically controlled 4×4 system with the 1.8 DiD turbo diesel.

As for pricing, the ASX Black will carry a £1,000 premium, higher than the present ASX4. The ASX 4 1.6 2wd Manual will cost £21,099, the ASX 4 1.8 DI-D 2WD Manual will be £23,299, and the ASX 4 1.8 DI-D 4WD Manual will be £25,399.
