Two Mustang Boss 302s Won By A 24-year-old Man

Thomas Baker, a 24-year-old Illinois resident… Nothing special so far, just another name in the crowd. Well, you do not know everything yet because this guy now has in its possession something that many of us still dreaming. He has won himself two new Ford Mustang Boss 302s. Baker, who won the 2011 Mustang Dream Giveaway, will be taking home a one-of-a-kind 2012 Ford Mustang Patriot Edition Boss 302 and a restored 1969 Mustang Boss 302.

Thomas won the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, which is one of only 46 made, while only one copy of the 2012 Mustang Patriot Edition Boss 302 was produced.

This contest, the 2011 Mustang Dream Giveaway involved the sale of raffle tickets. Proceeds from the giveaway went to the Healing Heroes Network, a nonprofit charity that promotes mental and physical rehabilitation for wounded members of the armed forces.

And in case you forgot, we want to remind you what the 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 can do. This car uses the same 5.0L V8 from the 2011 GT but to achieve the high-rpm horsepower to make it competitive on the track, Ford added a new intake, revised camshafts and a more aggressive control calibration. All that results in 440-hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a race inspired short-throw, close-ratio six-speed manual transmission handles gear change duties.
