The event that all are waiting for with anticipation is the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon, which is just round the corner now. And the vehicle that holds special attention there is the new Nissan GT-R. The star of the show is going to be further done up by Axell Auto, which is well confirmed news now. There is however news about Nissan joining up with Nismo to come out with a GT-R sports coupe that would be highly customized and best suited for circuit driving in Tokyo. This model has been named the Nissan Nismo GT-R RC and would compete in various production races held around the world.

The car NISMO GT-R RC is based on the Nissan GT-R but having features like a slick tire-compatible suspension, lightweight components, and special safety equipment and devices. There is also the FIA-approved welded roll cage, a 120-liter ATL safety fuel tank, and air jacks which are the additional safety features that have been added to the NISMO.

No further information is available as of now on the Nismo but is expected that the engine would be a 530hp, 3.8-liter V6 twin turbo. More details are assured in early January at the Tokyo Auto Show.
