by Ron Grant

German car manufacturer Audi underlines a new record in their sales book. The brand has sold 360,760 units from January to April of this year. Audi still expects to boost their sales figures for the 2nd quarter of the year.

During the annual meeting of Audi, its Chairman, Rupert Stadler, disclosed that the brand is doing very well but should keep stepping on the accelerator. Audi is leaning on the next gen A8 to further up their sales. They will also be rolling out the A1 during the latter half of 2010 to continue their momentum.

The sales growth of Audi is pegged at double figures for the first 4 months of 2010 across their sales regions. The company was able to rake in €8.2 billion in revenues or about a year in year out increase of 23%. Audi is hoping that the rest of the year will be as successful.

Audi is set to launch twelve models which include the hybrid Q5, the RS 5, and the A7.
