Nissan Motor told the transport ministry on Thursday that it is going to recall a total of 745,372 Note subcompact vehicles.

The affected cars were manufactured from July 2012 to February 2019.

According to the ministry, a front-wheel suspension spring could break due to a problem with its shape. Overall, 120 incidents concerning problems associated with the defect had been reported as of Thursday.

Nissan also informed the ministry that it is going to conduct improvement measures for a total of 16,864 microbuses of two models — it’s Civilian and the Journey, which is produced for Isuzu Motors Ltd. The vehicles were produced from January 1999 to December 2013.

Injuries have been reported due to the defect in the microbuses, in which a grip used as a support to assist people to get in the driver’s seat can fall off.

On Thursday, Subaru also filed with the ministry to recall about 33,181 Legacy vehicles, pointing the possibility of a fire from the speedometer because of a short circuit.

According to the ministry, 17 cases of associated problems have been reported and in 14 of those incidents, fires occurred.
