Opel Cascada Enters Production in Gliwice, Poland

The glamorous Opel Cascada has entered into the production phase recently in Gliwice plant in Poland. The first model is expected to be displayed in the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March 2013 with 1.6 liter gasoline engine.

Steve Girsky, who is Opel Supervisory Board Chairman, GM Vice Chairman and President GM Europe, stated that Cascada is the next building block after ADAM and Mokka and with such cars; the company is targeting the customers and segments which were never explored by the company earlier.

Janusz Piechocinski, Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and also the Guest of Honour, also stated that the it is a great news for the country and the production of another Opel car is very important for the growth of the Polish economy. He also said that the production also means that it is a good sign of the work done by the region and it proves the rich tradition of the Upper Silesia industrial area.
