by SpeedLux

Opel has so far received in excess of 20,000 orders for the new Adam city car.

Orders started in October last year and most of them were booked prior to the car’s January launch into the market.
The Adam, one of the important concepts for General Motors had to have an operating loss in its European business to the tune of 1.5 billion USD. But by the year 2015 GM expects to break even fully.

Competing against the MINI and Fiat 500, the 2013 Opel Adam is available with 61,000 exterior and 82,000 interior design groupings.
It is sold with a 70 HP 1.2-liter and a 1.4-liter engine producing 87 HP and 100 HP.
In the future it is expected to be offered with a new generation turbocharged engine connected to a new 6-speed manual gearbox.

So its final that the orders books have been overflowing since the launch last year and it is expected to increase further.
